The short version

PoliTruth is built to respect your privacy. The PoliTruth iOS app does not collect, store, sell, or share any personal information. It does not require an account, a login, or any sign in. It does not track you.

Information we do not collect

The PoliTruth app does not ask for or collect your name, email, contacts, location, photos, or any other personal data. Politician profiles are read from data bundled inside the app or served from our website. We do not build a profile of you, and we do not use advertising or third-party tracking SDKs in the app.

Links to outside sources

Profiles may link to outside sources such as official government records and news articles. When you tap one, it opens in your device's browser. Those websites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit.

The PoliTruth website

Our website (politruth.org) uses privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics to count anonymous page views and visitors. This does not identify individual people and is used only to understand overall traffic. The website does not use cookies to track you across other sites.

Children's privacy

PoliTruth is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of PoliTruth after a change means you accept the updated policy.
